I'm extremely disappointed that Nicole got such a high per centage of votes from the Uk. public to evict her when most of her problems were caused by Rex and his controlling attitude. I realize that England was probably tired of their antics as a couple for they were exhausting to watch, but I believe most of it was Rex's fault. He is several years older than she and over all, much more immature re their relationship. I could go on and on, but if anyone can shed some light on this in England, I would be interested to hear. I wish Rex had been elegible for eviction this week, but unfortunately, he was head of house so could not be put up against her. Would the results have been the same? I wonder.
Wow, you're watching Big Brother UK in the US? Shame you wont count towards the official viewing figures, then the show might be able to get its contract renewed!
By the way, in this context it's *Britain*, not England.
I stand corrected, Britain, smile. I'm sorry to see that ratings are down and have often wished I could vote when watching both Bb in Britain and in Australia. This was the first season my husband and I watched the whole season in both places and often felt the frustration of not being able to vote or be counted in the ratings Still, it was fun to watch and we are sorry the show had to be cancelled in Australia.
That's okay. I didn't realise the Australian version had been canned but can't say I'm surprised. I believe the UK version has this plus one more series left in its current contract, but not sure if Channel 4 will pick it up again. In honesty though, this show has a limited shelf-life and should probably have been allowed to die "gracefully" after about series 4. There's only so many times you can show the same goading, radical haircuts and fights about alcohol before even the target audience get bored.
And the ancient argument thaat Big Brother is "social Commentary" doesn't work any more, simply because all the contestants are so media-savvy and "agented-up" that it's turned into a protracted audition to get on the Z-list. The first series was good; nobody - not even the production company - knew what to expect and hardly anyone watched at the beginning. Now it's time to say goodbye. By the way, is it no longer running in the states?

Yes, it's still running in the States and we're watchin that too. We're on season 10 here, and though I agree with you about watching these people in their drunken rants, it's still somewhat interesting because of the dynamics of the characters. It's interesting too because of the feeds when we can see what's going on when the show's not actually on.
